These products have distinct advantages over traditional shielding methods in that they can be installed by the purchaser rather than employing expensive shielding experts.


Our company is the Australian agent for Yshield shielding paints and fabrics which can be used to:

  • minimise exposure to high and low frequency fields;
  • protect health;
  • and prevent interference with equipment.

These products have been tested and certified by the German Federal Armed Forces.
We can provide measurements of the electromagnetic radiation to which your home or workplace is exposed and can identify the optimum location for shielding.

The paints provide protection against high frequency (HF) and/or low frequency electromagnetic fields.  They contain a conductive carbon base which, unlike shielding paints containing metal particles, does not corrode or oxidise over time.  

The paints are environmentally friendly and suitable for use by people with electromagnetic or chemical sensitivity.  They are water-based and contain no toxic solvents, plasticisers or film-forming agents and they have been well-received by the building biology community in Europe.

They are available in liquid form.  Being carbon-based, they are black in colour and can be sealed and repainted in the desired shade.

For maximum protection, the paints should be grounded and a purpose-designed grounding plate is available with instructions for installation. Paints that are not grounded will not shield low-frequency fields.
