Ryde Rugby Club I was a coach with the Ryde Junior Rugby Club from 2004 - 2006 and the club provides a game of football for boys & girls from 5 year-olds through to Under 12’s. We were undefeated in 2004 & 2005 and although we didn't win the 2006 competition, the kids enjoyed their football which is the main reason for playing the game. I was also one of the 2006 Eastwood Under 10’s Representative Coaches and below are some photographs of the Ryde teams and the 2006 Eastwood Representative squad:

Speaking with the players after a game. One of the genuine people involved in the game of Rugby is NSW Waratahs Defensive Coach Les Kiss and we first met in the 1980's when I was on the Committee of the North Sydney Rugby League Club and Les was an outstanding winger who played for Australia.
I asked Les if he would mind watching the Ryde team play one Saturday morning and put them through a skills session. Les not only said yes, but he travelled from his home near the northern beaches all the way out to Dural for the game, which gave the kids from both clubs a great thrill.
Les Kiss is a credit to the game of Rugby and below are three photographs taken that morning:

Thanks for a great morning Les.
