In 2008, they won an UNPRECEDENTED four world titles:

Metropolitan Tango Championship (Milonga) and the
Japan Open (Tango Salon).
Cristina & Daniel are no strangers to Australia having been invited twice to the TangoFest in 2009 and 2010. Here are some reviews:
"Cristina Sosa and Daniel Nacucchio are a couple to watch - inspiring, knowledgable, methodical & approachable teachers and stunning performers. No wonder they have collected a number of significant awards...They are also a delight to watch dancing socially - understated and elegant...As teachers, their lessons were well prepared & appropriate to the level of workshop participants…They communicated effectively, using humour appropriately, and they were warm and very generous with their attention to participants, constantly moving around and helping people, despite the popularity of their classes. I should add that this view was shared by everyone I spoke to at the event.” -Patricia Petronio, Tango Salon Adelaide (>>view her blog)

Intensive Workshops - Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th Sept Over the weekend of the CLEAN&CLEAR® Australian Dance Festival, you will have the opportunity to be completely immersed in the world of Argentine Tango with Daniel & Cristina. These maestros will teach 6 x 1.5 hour workshops over two days (Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th Sept).
NB: You will not be required to book as a couple however, please let us know if you don’t have a partner so that we can balance the number of leaders & followers.
As Daniel and Cristina have been to Australia in the last 2 years and are familiar with our level of dancing, they have suggested the following workshops (please note that this is a translation of their very own words):
1. Embrace, Posture and Walk - Abrazo, Postura y Caminata (Saturday) A bad embrace and poor posture limit the ability of the couple to move smoothly around the dance floor. And it's also contagious. One partner's bad posture can be uncomfortable for both. In this workshop, we will explore the anatomy of the embrace (close vs. open) combined with a correct natural posture when walking together. Technique and practical exercises for men and women to achieve a relax embrace.
2. Musicality – If you can’t hear it, you can’t dance it (Saturday) In this class we work with the different possibilities the tango music brings; from understanding the compass to the variety of potential movements the music offers depending on the orchestra. A must-do workshop for leaders and followers, not just to dance tango better but to feel it more.
3. Turns and the art of Pausing - Giros y Pausas. (Saturday) Turns are essential for navigation on the dance floor. This workshop will explore the musicality and technique of turns, in particular with respect to the uses of pauses, thus expanding the possibilities for interpreting the music.
4. Elegance and Natural Movement (Balance, lead and posture) (Sunday) Learn vital skills for greater balance, intensity & connectivity between the leader & follower. Achieve greater control & refine your technique to lead/follow in a natural way.
5. Boleos (marca, recepcion y entrenamiento ) (Sunday) This workshop will cover the foundations of the Boleo technique, how to lead and follow, training and several variations.
6.Villa Urquiza Style Tango ( turns, walk and embellishment) - Estilo Villa Urquiza (giros, caminatas y adornos ). (Sunday) Daniel and Cristina belong to the very few teachers of the Villa Urquiza style which is characterized by an elegant walk, musical adornments and spry movements with abundance of giros, enrosques, lapices and agujas. Learn from them the very elegant steps of this style of refinement and subtlety made famous in the milongas Club Sin Rumbo and Sunderland in Buenos Aires and adopted by the best dancers of Salon Tango. Nowadays, Villa Urquiza Tango-style is also adopted by most of the dancers competing at the World Tango Championship.
Cost: $160 per person per day (Strictly Limited Numbers, Book Early to avoid disappointment)

On September 4th, 2010, The Australian Dance Festival broke the World Record for the Largest Song & Dance Routine! (Officially recognised the Guinness World Records!)
As Jason Coleman is the Patron of the Australian Dance Festival, and also choreographer for the "Hairspray, The Musical", it was only fitting that the world record should be "The World's Largest Number of Dancers Doing a Hairspray Choreography", led by Jason Coleman himself! >>learn more
