Catch Us at Your Local Eisteddfod & You Could Win Amazing Prizes!
|
 The Australian Dance Festival in collaboration with A-Live Entertainment will be visiting Eisteddfods all over Australia from May through to September. If you see us at your local eisteddfod, make sure you come by and visit us! You'll get to have your photo taken with one of the A-Live celebrities (like BJ Rorke or Denis Hilton A-Live Entertainment) and you can also enter our competition to win $65 vouchers for Australian Dance Festival tickets, or merchandise including DVDs, Tshirts and Bandannas.
Last weekend, we were at the Illawarra Flame in Wollongong! The audience were treated to a performance by the A-Live Entertainment crew. If you had your photo taken at the Australian Dance Festival celebrity booth, you can now view the photos on our Facebook Fan page. Make sure you hop on and tag yourself in the photo!
We also have several lucky winners from the Illawarra Flame: Jasmine Vo and Katya Poloni won a $65 voucher for Australian Dance Festival Passes Taylor Bosevski won the 2009 ADF DVD Imogen del Solar & Rebecca Virta won a Tshirt
We will be attending Dancelife Unite this weekend 21st - 22nd May at the Science Theatre of the UNSW. Make sure you come and see us in the foyer!
If you don't compete in Eisteddfods, then the other way you can win tickets to the Australian Dance Festival is by subscribing to our e-newsletter. Every month, we draw 3 winners. This month's lucky winners are:

 We are 5 months out from the Australian Dance Festival and we've been busy contacting some of Australia's best dance instructors to be a part of our event. So far, we have confirmed the following instructors:

 This year, the Australian Dance Festival is moving back to the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre. The venue is fantastic for dance with a great stage, and large workshop rooms. Through our sponsors Dance Around The World, we have reserved 40 x Novotel Rooms which have 2 queen beds in them. The rate is $220 per night ($55 per person) and we can't get any more than 40. We have already sold 16 of these and a few other bookings are pending, so if you want to get the best value accommodation at Sydney Olympic Park, make sure you that you complete an accommodation booking form and send it back to us ASAP!
Please note that there are also other hotels in Sydney Olympic Park including the Pullman Hotel (5 star), Ibis (3 star) and the Formule 1 (2 star). However, the Novotel is the one hotel which can accommodate 4 people in a room with the greatest comfort and space.
In response to feedback from dance teachers, we have also introduced a group booking process to make things easier for dance teachers bringing dancers from their school. Updates on our "Australia's Best Dance Crew" Competition
| Last month, we announced that we would be running a competiton for "Australia's Best Dance Crew" with 4 divisions (Junior, Varsity, Open & Professional) with a $2,500 cash prize for each division. Since then, we have had feedback from several quarters who made some valid points about how we could improve the competition and make it unique.
 We know that dance is subjective, and it can be controversial to say that one dance crew is better than another, so we are introducing a unique competition, where dance teams won't be competing to come 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Instead, we will be looking to award:
- The Most Entertaining Dance Crew
- The Best Choreographed Dance Crew
- The Dance Crew displaying the best technical ability
The winner of each of these titles will receive $2,500 and a humongous trophy!
We only have 15 competitor spots available, and entries will be accepted strictly on a first come, first served basis. For more information on the terms and conditions of the competition, please download the application form. |
