LDA has been such an amazing part of the Congress, how long have you been coming to the Sydney Salsa Congress and what keeps you coming back year after year?
Since the very first one in January 2005.  We have performed and taught at every single Sydney Salsa Congress for the last 5 years.  This event is the only one that brings together the who's who in the Latin dance scene in Australia. The crowd is the best, very warm, loud and all in a non competitive environment. The atmosphere is friendly from the volunteers to the attendees, and the workshops are simply incredible! We have a chance to learn and meet the best dancers in the world.

From the feedback we have received, LDA's workshops and performance have been a highlight of the Sydney Salsa Congress, what are the highlights for you & your students?
The highlights for LDA students and professionals is the opportunity to meet, dance and learn from dancers coming from all over Australia and the world. Whether it be to learn from interstate or international teachers we don't normally get to learn from, watching some amazing shows from different states and countries, or simply social dancing with people we are meeting for the very first time. It as all a special experience you can only get at the Sydney Salsa Congress and we look forward to that year after year. So a message to all interstate and overseas people coming to Sydney, TEAM LDA is waiting for you, to meet you, to learn from you, to dance with you but most of to enjoy 4 nights and 3 days of what we all have in common no matter where you come from,  SALSA, ZOUK. BACHATA, SAMBA or even CHA CHA, we will enjoy it all side by side with you !!!!

What are you most looking forward to at the 2010 Sydney Salsa Congress?
This is a hard one because there is so many things to look forward to, but I would have to say LDA students and professionals are basically looking for ward to the Sydney Salsa Congress EXPERIENCE!!! We can't wait!!!

What can I say about the SSC, other than it is a milestone in the transformation of my dancing life .  My 1st experience in 2007 was that of a beginner.  Despite my basic knowledge of salsa, I somehow spent entire nights dancing and being amazed at the many talents of the people around me, and thinking "one day or next year, i want that to be me".     My 2nd SSC, I go, I dance, I learn from all of these people and realize not just how good they were on the dance floor, but also how easy they were to approach.  My 3rd year, I was given not just the honour of performing once in a Student Team on the Opening night (which in it self is an amazing feeling, performing at such an event), but also given the opportunity to share the stage with some of my local and international idols, on the Saturday night. If you have been you will know how huge a night this is, and if you haven't, book a pass for next year.   Sitting here writing this, and after travelling, performing, and competing at other events, there is no comparison in my mind, and I'm sure in others, the SYDNEY SALSA CONGRESS, is the event of the year.
