Giancarlo is a Swedish national with Peruvian background and is no stranger to Latin music and dance. He is an Australian IDO Salsa Champion, and together with wife and dance partner Masha, they are Asia-Pacific Professional Salsa Champions and the Current Undefeated New Zealand Professional Salsa Champions.
Giancarlo & Masha were the first salsa instructors in New Zealand to introduce syllabus based salsa courses that would extend to any level of salsa dancing. Today the idea of a syllabus structure has been adapted by most of the main salsa dance schools, which in return has raised and continues to raise the level of salsa dancing in New Zealand.
Masha is an incredibly passionate dancer, performer and instructor. In fact so passionate that she took her dancing to an academic level. She studied Physiology, Nutrition and Anatomy as part of the Bachelor of Dance degree at Auckland University of Technology in 2001. Masha is highly respected in the salsa dance industry for her clear, precise and technical instruction. | | | | |  | | Rafael and Carine (Brazil) Rafael Barros and Carine Morais are the 2010 World Salsa Open Champions, held in Puerto Rico, which brings together the best professionals in Europe and the Americas. The victory put Brazil in the centre of Salsa worldwide and makes the country an important reference for the dance.
With only two years and seven months of the partnership, Rafael and Carine are distinguished by good technique and musicality, and above all, the harmony of their dances. Between 2008 and 2010 they won the Brazil Salsa Open twice, played the national championship at the World Salsa Congress in Brazil. Also in 2009 were finalists for the World Salsa Open. And on their very first appearance together, they won third place for the best choreography competition. They have also won the fifth edition of the traditional championship Rey Castro, São Paulo. They are renowned teachers and choreographers since 2005 not only in Brazil, but also abroad. | | | | |  | | Vito and Stefania (Italy) Vito Ranieri and Stefania Errede, are a couple with class, elegance, perfect technique, expression of body, speed, beauty. They teach and perform in more than 20 different countries around the world. Vito and Stefania have been awarded the European Salsa Championship 2009, won 1st Place at Rome Salsa Festival in 2007 and 2008 and placed 2nd at the World Salsa Meeting. Vito and Stefanias’ style is characterized by a perfect mix of Latin ballroom and salsa style with cleaning and speed. Stefania is a professional Latin Ballroom Dancer and has placed first in the International Open Championship in 2001 at the Italian Latin Ballroom Championship on 90 Couple and was given the title ‘the World Superstar’ at Salsomaggiore Terme.
